Founded in 1979, APIVITA is Greece's leading company in natural products.

Its story goes back to a small pharmacy, owned by Niki and Nikos Koutsianas. Being both passionately fond of natural products and having great respect for Classical Greek philosophy, they created a line of soaps and shampoos based on bee products: honey, propolis, royal jelly and bee pollen. Their first brand, Dermoline, later named Propoline, quickly grew into a market leader in Greek pharmacies offering effective natural solutions to a number of skin problems.

Today, APIVITA has a 220 staff member workforce and four distinctive product-lines (PROPOLINE, AROMATHERAPY, EXPRESS, APITHERAPY) with more than 300 products in total. The company has a highly developed distribution network of Greek pharmacies and is fast expanding internationally. Being nowadays present in thirteen countries around the world, APIVITA keeps spreading its philosophy across borders. Showing faith and confidence in the human race. Bringing us closer to nature, an all-embracing and never ceasing source of inspiration, life and well-being.

We contribute to modern man' s quest for balance and harmony, harnessing the power and potential of nature.
We work to fulfil current and future consumer needs with sensitivity and integrity.
We encourage a sensible and highly responsible attitude to product manufacturing, with an ongoing commitment to promoting awareness of natural well-being and sustainable development.

We believe in the ones who support our mission, the ones who stand by us every day and the ones who dedicate themselves to creating natural products with real value. At APIVITA we believe in people. We invest in people with highly specialized knowledge and training, environmental and social awareness and innovative ideas.
The quality of the APIVITA team is one of the most decisive factors in our rapid growth. Specialist botanists, pharmacists, cosmeticians, aromatologists and business managers, all work together in a dynamic environment that exploits creativity and allows for innovative ideas to develop and succeed.

Well-defined lines, vibrant colours and unique typography characterize our packaging as well as our solid structuring and well-differentiated brand architecture. Our fruitful collaboration with artists and designers, including the award winning Greek director Tassos Boulmetis and the Spanish artist Carmen Garcia Bartolome, who created Marie Cecile, has provided us with valuable feedback.

Ever since 1979, when the first product design with the help of the artist Spiros Ornerakis came out, our packaging reflected our commitment to sustainable development, our cultural and scientific origins and the power of natural ingredients. In recent years, Red Design Consultants, the creators of the "Athens 2004" Olympic Games logo, has worked with us closely to help express our pointed and simple approach to natural products.
